Ashby Masonic Centre

Ferrers & Ivanhoe Lodge Number 779 in the Register of the United Grand Lodge of England is the oldest lodge meeting in the Leicestershire town of Ashby de la Zouch having been consecrated in 1859.

We meet at the Masonic Hall, Lower Church Street, Ashby de la Zouch on the 2nd Tuesday during the months of September to May, apart from the October Installation meeting which is held on the third Wednesday.

The Ferrers & Ivanhoe Lodge operates under the jurisdiction of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Leicestershire and Rutland

We are always pleased to welcome suitable new members to the Fraternity. Please contact the Lodge Secretary for further information either about joining the Lodge or any other aspects of Freemasonry.

For many years Freemasons have followed three great principles:

Principle 1 -  Brotherly Love - Every true Freemason will show tolerance and respect for the opinions of others and behave with kindness and understanding to his fellow creatures.

Principle 2 -  Relief - Freemasons are taught to practise charity and to care, not only for their own, but also for the community as a whole, both by charitable giving, and by voluntary efforts and works as individuals.

Principle 3 -  Truth - Freemasons strive for truth, requiring high moral standards and aiming to achieve them in their own lives. Freemasons believe that these principles represent a way of achieving higher standards in life
